What You'll Learn
We introduce you to the skills and knowledge needed in today's cleaning workforce.
You’ll learn:
Identify individual work tasks within a team:
- Identify own responsibilities according to organisational policies and procedures
- Identify own role and task requirements within team
- Articulate team structure and roles of other team members
- Plan and prioritise own tasks according to given time frames and team requirements
Contribute effectively to team goals:
- Identify team goals and own responsibilities relevant to achieving team goals
- Contribute ideas and information in team planning discussions
- Share knowledge and skills with team members to enable effective teamwork and seek or offer support as required
Work effectively with team members:
- Communicate clearly and respectfully with team members, considering the needs of those from diverse backgrounds and roles
- Collaborate effectively with team members, including those who are working remotely on workplace issues
- Seek and provide assistance and feedback to team members where appropriate
Communicate effectively with team leaders:
- Receive and confirm understanding of task instructions or directions
- Communicate personal commitments in a timely manner
- Identify and report any issues preventing the completion of workplace tasks, according to organisational requirements
- Seek and act upon feedback to improve personal performance and/or behaviour

HOW WILL I BE ASSESSED?
Our goal is to make assessing as easy an as fun as possible. You are required to provide evidence that you have completed the work. We use short answer questions, long answer questions, quizzes, photos and videos. Below are some activities that you will be required to do in order to complete this unit:
Identify individual and team roles and responsibilities
Plan assigned tasks according to priorities and deadlines, and in accordance with organisational requirements
Contribute to achievement of team goals
Share knowledge, ideas and problems with team members
Act on feedback in a constructive manner
Collaborate with a remote team member on a workplace issue.
